Hello every body! My name is Leah. Welcome to my blog. I would like to share a few things that may help you out, as it has helped me, it started when I was four years old. I was struggling with disobedience toward my Mom and my Dad. And one night my dad was talking with me! And one of his questions really made me stop and think, "Leah, do you think you are honoring God when you dishonor your mother and me?" And I said "no." Then dad told me the fifth commandment of God; Honor your father and your mother. Then dad said. “When you break one of Gods commandment's you have sinned against God.” Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death. Death is eternal separation from God. “DEATH.” You know that word is so strong, it probably means a great deal of things, but it all adds up to only one word, “Nothing.” Can you imaging being dead for eternity after you die? We need to be careful at how we live, because Satan appears as an angel of light. Oh yes, the things of this world seem fun at the time we live, but what about the time we die? We may love the things of the world but it does not love us back, Oh no it does not. Satin is just waiting to crush and mock us after we have enjoyed it for so long. (1st John2 15:16,17 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.). God warns us of this because he cares for us, not only that he cares but he loves us. (Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.) God offers us eternal life if we repent and confess our sins to him. (John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life"). The problem is that . . . All of us have done, said, or thought things that are wrong, this is called sin, and our sins have separated us from God. The Bible says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” God is perfect and holy, and our sins separate us from God forever. Remember “The wages of sin is death.” The good news that we all want to here is that about 2,000 years ago, God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus lived a sinless life, and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. God demonstrates His own love for us, “in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” I always think to myself. “Jesus must really Love me and all of us, to actually die for us.” He went through all that pain and all that bleeding, just for us. He could have run away, but his love for us is so great that he would rather us live than himself. They beat him, they bruised him, they placed a crown of thorns on his head, they mocked him, they pierced his side with a spear, they pounded nails in his hands and feet, they hung him on a cross to die a slow painful death. And he went through all of that for us, for “YOU.” Even his own father couldn’t bear to look upon his face, because our sins that Jesus placed upon himself were so great, that it made him sick to be looked upon. Yes, it was our sin that held him there, our sin that needed to be forgiven. Jesus spake in a loud voice, “Father forgive them.” What was this? He forgave us? Yes, he forgave us of our sins. And the thing that amazes me is, Jesus hade already forgiven us, before we put him on the cross. For Jesus knew this day was coming, that he would have to take our sins, and place them on himself. And he did not run away from it, why? Because he loves us more than himself. When it was over, before he gave up the ghost, Jesus spoke out in a loud voice, “It is finished” meaning his purpose of coming down here on earth was finished. Then Jesus gave up the ghost so he could be with his father. They took him off the cross and buried him in a tomb, and he lay three days. After three days, up from the grave he arose, Jesus is alive again, the perfect son of God. And now He lives in heaven with God His Father, and he offers us the gift of eternal life -- of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father but by me." God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be His child. "For as many as received Him, to them gave ye power to become the sons\daughters of God, even to them that believe on His name." You can ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come into your life as your Lord and Savior, and you will surprised at how fast he will receive you. He is waiting for you; Jesus is already asking you “Will you be my child?” Come to Jesus my friend, come JESUS and live “when I realized Jesus took my sin upon himself and suffered for it, I started to think about it a little. Then I realized how much he must love us to go threw all that pain just for us. When I realized how much God loved me and really did care for me, I started to smile. Dad must have seen the brightness in my eyes because that is when he asked me. "Leah! Would you like to trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?" And I said "YES." And so we prayed together, and I asked God to forgive me for my disobedience and that he would come into my heart and save me. And right away Jesus forgave me. And that night, God accepted me and I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. And to this day I praise the Lord for all he has done. (Psalm 100 1:2, 3, 4, 5). 1Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. (Acts 4:12 neither is there salvation in any other. For there is none other name under heaven, given among men. Whereby we must be saved.) Go ahead and ask God in your heart today, he is waiting for you! Thank you for reading, God bless you.

Trying to sleep in the van!

(The question is optional) What's one of your most embarrassing moments?
When I flipped over my handle bars on my bike, when we were at the park, my family was not with me at the time, and I think the thing that embarrassed me was all the strangers that were helping me up, asking me if I was okay! But that was like five years ago.

Some of you know that my dad is a Chaplin to the Genesee county jail. He goes there every Friday night with a few other Chaplin’s to witness and preach the gospel to the inmates. Last night July 17, 2009 I was able to go with my dad to the jail for my very first time. My mom and sister Charity went along too but have been they have before. This was my very first time. I have often heard my dad talk about the sermons at the jail and it has always sounded good to me; but I have learned, you have to be there to experiance it for yourself. I was so excited that I was finally able to go and a little nervous at that!
I was happy i could go!
It was so amazing how God worked through those people, they were so willing to listen and hear about God and his word.
It was nothing like I was expecting.
God was there, and we all knew it. I mean, this is what church should be like every Sunday; it was soooo good!
I mean right now, you are just reading something I wrote.
I would here stories about some of these times, and the way they sounded to me it was like… WOW! But when I actually went for myself, it was more than just wow, it was Gods blessing for me to be there. I was really encouraged by seeing God in these people.
Next time I get a chance, I would love to go again. And you all can come along if you like, I am positive that you will enjoy it as much or even better than I did.

I enjoy being together in our group!!! we have allot of fun. I thank God for my friends and family! because we enjoy living a life. And we let nothing get in our way with our relationship in Jesus Christ.

June 19 to 21, 2009. Last weekend we all got together and camped for a short time. And had a blast. It rained the first and second day we were there, but nothing keeps us from having fun. Here are a few pics from the trip.

Well after we all left for home Sunday, we woke up in the morning feeling very very sore. But every time we come home feeling that way, although we are in pain we think of all the fun we had, playing games, mostly volleyball, and running back and forth to the camping site. The crazy ski group. 5 Degrees, and we were skiing! out in that. Well I must say, that it was pretty daring, and very fun, all at the same time. I love to ski. It's my favorite things to do in the winter. I especially enjoy it with friends, because they make a good ski trip fun.
